The corner to corner (C2C) stitch is quick, easy and incredibly versatile; making it perfect for pixel crochet projects and graphgans. While many have voiced being intimidated to try this stitch, with a few simple steps you be crafting a C2C masterpiece of your own!!
Increasing Rows:
- Chain 6.
- DC in 4th ch from hook, DC in each of next 2 stitches.
- Begin the 2nd row, chain 6 and turn.
- Dc in 4th ch from hook, DC in each of next 2 stitches.
- Anchor the block to the end of your first block with a slip stitch in the ch 3 space.
- Chain 3 and DC three times into the ch 3 space.
- Repeat Steps 1 – 6, adding one additional square per row until you reach your desired dimensions.
Decreasing Rows:
- After anchoring your last square, at the end of your last increasing row do NOT chain 6.
- Instead, you will turn and sl st into the top of your 3 DC and chain.
- Chain 3, and DC 3 times into the ch 3 space.
- Repeat Steps 1 – 3, decreasing one square per row until you complete your C2C square (or rectangle).
- TIP: For a rectangle, you will decrease only one size and will continue to ch 6 and increase on the other until you reach your desired dimensions; always increasing on the same side and decreasing on the same side. Once you reach the desired length that you will decrease on both ends as normal.
