Wish you could crank out a crochet granny square in a minute or less? This tutorial will help you master the quick and versatile mini-granny square.
Inspiration….
In honor of our first family camping adventure, I am working on a lap sized ‘Happy Camper’ graphgan to be stored in our trailer. I’ve used corner to corner, bobble and waffle stitch for previous projects and was itching to try something new. Once my graph was complete, I opted to tackle this blanket with the quick and versatile mini-granny square. It works up extremely quickly, and after a few rows of squares I could crank these out in 60-seconds or less. Warning: making the mini granny square is highly addictive and fun!

Tying up loose ends….
The mini-granny is deceptively easy, and so much fun to make! I have been cranking these out at record speed and love the motivation it gives me. Tiny, soft and cute, I can’t wait to piece them together; the only down size will be weaving in all of the tails!
Not making a graphgan, not to worry, you can also use these adorable little squares to make hats, bags, boot cuffs or scarfs; the options are limitless. Happy Hooking!
